During an intense match, over-the-hill wrestler Rex "The Ravager" Henderson injures his nemesis Lyle "The Leviathan" Shaw in the ring. While Rex downplays the severity of the injury, his son urges him to swallow his pride and apologise to Lyle. Rex stubbornly refuses, but after watching a DVD of the match he realizes he may be in the wrong. The next day, Rex tries to apologize to Lyle, but can’t bring himself to say the words. Lyle isn’t bothered – though he may never wrestle again, he finds solace in a supportive community and loving family. Moved by Lyle’s unexpected contentment, Rex visits the wrestling ring alone.
